The Activities of FDA’s are as follows:

(1) Implementation of centrally sponsored afforestation schemes.

(2) Other beneficiaries oriented activities like agroforestry, avenue plantations.

(3) Take steps for value addition and marketing of produce.

(4) Inventorisation of land and other natural resources.

(5) Environmental education.

(6) Awareness and active association in protection against poaching and illicit felling of timber.

(7) Establishment and man-management of decentralized nurseries with marketing arrangements

.
(8) Assist in management of CPRs.

(9) Address socioeconomic needs of people.

(10) Management of existing captive water resources in the villages.

(11) Active involvement in forest firefighting operations.

(12) Monitoring of activities of local NGOs.

(13)The applications for financial assistance shall be routed through the Director of Indian Systems for Medicine & Homeopath under the Health Department of the State/Ul government or through the concerned administrative department as the case may be, by the eligible institutions/bodies.

(14) Conditions for central and financial assistance will be as per the rules and regulations for grant-in-aid as per G.F.R.

(15) Expenditure on staff, building (except sheds for storage and drying) and all recurring expenditure etc. will be met by the state/UT government and/or the grantee institution.

(16) It will be obligatory for grantee institutions to cultivate those medicinal plants for at least a period of five years after receipt of the last installment of the grant.

(17) It will have to be ensured that only such medicinal plants are taken up for cultivation under this scheme which is in great demand by the drug industry of ISM&H but short in supply or which are at present imported but have the potential of cultivation indigenous.

(18) The grant shall be utilized only for the purpose for which it has been granted. other financial assistance can be grant later.

(19) When the Government of India have reasons to believe that the sanctioned money is not being utilized for approved.purposes, the payment of further grant will be stopped and released the amount of grant will be forthwith recovered with interest as per G.F.R.

(20)Entire amount of the grant should be utilized within a period of six months from the date of issue of demand draft/cheque of final installment. if any delay is likely to occur in the utilization of the grant, the period of utilization may be extended by a further period (not exceeding six months) in exceptional circumstances, by the Government of India. Financial assistance is provided to people of the downtrodden society.  If the institution fails to utilize the entire amount of grant within the original or extended period, it shall refund the unspent balance with interest to the Government of India. you can take help from ngo consultancy.
